Since Axlin08 feels Slash hasn't done anything good since 1991, I thought about seeing if we could get a 14 song greatest hits of Slash works since 1991 (outside of GNR so that rules out TSI).

That's it.
And I say only that one because I think Slash's best moments outside of GNR still need to be held to the same standard of his work in GNR. You can't just lower the bar because he's not in GNR anymore. Messages is the only song that really stands up to his GNR material.

I pointed several out in the other thread, and the majority of them are in Smoking Guns list.

In Snakepit: Beggars & Hangers On, Good To Be Alive, Back and Forth Again are all great.
In VR: I'd say the big singles they released from Contraband (Slither, Fall To Pieces, and Set Me Free) are all great examples, along with You Got No Right (the solo is awesome) .
And on this new solo album, Watch This and Nothing To Say showcase some killer guitar riffing and soloing as well.
But there's also session spots he's done - Street Child with Elan, Always On the Run with Lenny Kravitz, Give In To Me with Michael Jackson, and the instrumental Obessesion Confession is great too.

Is this debate even worth having? I mean, I guess it is since it was brought up. But to make the argument that Slash is a shit guitarist and can't do anything without Axl is just ridiculous. Obviously he's done some great things post-GNR. Have they been as good as the things he did prior? Well, that's debateable, and a lot of people would say no for one reason or another. But overall, I find this thread quite ridiculous and unnecessary.
