well, they completed the asian shows, canadian shows and south american shows. 2 of the 5 latin american shows are cancelled so "yes" this is their first real hiccup. Hopefully, they show up in Puerto Rico.:/

Well, Costa Rica wasn't really their fault.  They would've played the show if the stage didn't collapse.  But what's happened since has been a little strange and I don't really get it.

Guns N' Roses concert officially cancelled

By Adam Williams

Not even a little 'Patience'  could bring Guns N' Roses to Costa Rica. After the show originally scheduled for Friday at Ricardo Saprissa Stadium was canceled due to a faulty stage setup, hopes for a makeup date were dashed Monday when the band posted a statement on their Facebook page saying they would not reschedule a concert date in Costa Rica.

True to the confused, on-again, off-again nature of the events surrounding the concert since its announcement in early March, as of Monday night it appeared the show would be rescheduled. At 10:28p.m. Monday night, a posting on the band's Facebook site read:

'The Costa Rica show has been rescheduled for April 13th. Please note that the show will take place at a new venue.'

The post was followed by an early morning confirmation that the concert would be held at La Guácima in Alajuela on April 13.

However, as soon as word of the rescheduled concert circulated amongst national media outlets, a third post on the Guns N' Roses Facebook page at around 11 a.m. extinguished fan's hopes. 'Central America update: The previously announced rescheduled show in Costa Rica at La Guácima will unfortunately not happen,'  the posting read.

With the announcement of the official cancelation, the production agency 28 Producciones, which was in charge of the event, sent out an apologetic email to fans and members of the press. The email assured ticket-holding fans that they would be reimbursed and that all inquiries should be referred to the Web page www.28producciones.com.

Saw this over on HTGTH

It seems the local production company wanted to milk the concert for all it was worth and that was plenty with a 15,000 sold out venue. To make sure of big bucks, senior management decided to hire on some totally inexperienced and cheap labor to build a stage. It did not take long for the Guns N Roses guys, who have been to this type of rodeo before, to recognize there was a reasonable, if not likelihood the stage was going to collapse. Especially when their technical director saw the overhead lights tilt to the west end of the stage and the stage itself slowly sinking into mud from a recent rain.

But, Axle, the good guy he is, gave the production company a second chance and another concert date the night after the first cancellation. A can do situation!

Hurriedly, '28 Producciones'  found a new location, almost as good as the first. But, instead of re-building the huge stage with experienced people they went back to the beginners again and the rest of the story just speaks for itself. A second and permanent cancellation which is reported to cost the production company close to $ 1million if all debts and tickets are to be refunded not to mention Costa Rica shame for lousy management that can be read on Facebook and Twitter.
