I think alot of that shit has died down, if not been dead since 1993. Hell, even Kurt Cobain was hanging with Duff shortly before his death.
I think if Axl hung around with Dave, and talked about doing something together, Dave would be there if he were cool with it. I don't think ANY of that feud is even still alive.

Me either, but other than Chi Dem and now Slash I havent' bought a CD in ages. But I used to buy them all the time. But I haven't stop listening to music
If they want people to still buy physical copies you gotta try and give people some bang for their buck, because unless you were IT illiterate and didn't know how to download a song/album there is not really many reasons to purchase CD's anymore.
So having lyrics, maybe a DVD etc etc has to be considered with packaging these days.
Yeah, the no lyrics is somewhat of a bummer to me as is the lack of other material. It's very thin. A quick read, if you will. As poorly as the CD booklet came out, at least that took some time to read all the way through.
I don't buy an album for the booklet but I always read the booklet, especially if I REALLY dig the band, ie. GNR, VR, etc. And I like to listen to the songs and read along with the lyrics and commit them to memory. I haven't had a chance to do that with this album since the lyrics weren't included. That could be a reason some of these songs just aren't sticking with me. I can't really sing along to many of them. Lyrics could certainly change that, or at least help.

That's a good point, I hadn't thought about it but it's definitely something I do - listen to the songs now and then and read along with the lyrics. As you say it helps commit them to memory and also can ensure the song sticks in your head.

As far as I can tell, "Watch This", is the biggest fucking bitchslap Axl has ever been served.
That song is huge.
I'm undecided whether or not the absence of singing made it this great, but it would have been a Locomotive-type of monster with GN'R. I don't wanna start a Slash vs. whoeverthefuck argument, but this song is one of those on the album that shows what a mind-blowing potential a (functioning) reunion would have.

i think that reading while listening takes aways from actually hearing the music cuz you are concentrating on reading too much
so does everyon;s disk say "watch this" ... not "watch this dave" like mine does?

As far as I can tell, "Watch This", is the biggest fucking bitchslap Axl has ever been served. Dave Grohl, the guy Axl spoke about wanting drums played like...the guy who publicy got in Axl's face back at the '92 VMA's...
In '94, Axl wanted Grohl to drum on his solo album.
They likely met and patched up privately somewhere down the line.

So there is no lyrics - I think that is lame. In this day and age when you have to be fucken lucky if someone even bothers to buy your album as opposed to stealing it over the net, you have to give them something better for the dollars in the form of the physical copy.
Agree 1000000000%, and I wont be buying this.
Gonna buy the Cornell track on Itunes.
Does anyone else think that Izzy didn't even show up for these sessions?
Sounds like they picked up where they left off at UYI. 
I think this album is just as big of a nail in the coffin to a reunion as Chinese and the 'cancer' comments were. When you go out of your way to not give credit to Izzy and Adler when doing so would have been an added marketing opportunity, it shows these guys are all extremely far apart, even when they work together once in a blue moon.
