overall its pretty cool loking but rather "thin"

no mention of Adler and Flea as being guests on "Baby cant drive"

no lyrics (aside from one liners) ...though i'm not too upset about that, some peopel are bound to be though

there are pics of all the people in the standard tracklist and leaves off pics of the people who appear as bonus tracks (Cooper, Nicole, Adler, Flea, Koshi)

i think the cover is pretty cool, i know some of you think its lame though, but the closer you look the more things you catch

in the credits i thought it was interesting that he thanks Zutaut, Clink and Vicki Hamilton

Vicki Hamilton is a strange one?

So there is no lyrics - I think that is lame.  In this day and age when you have to be fucken lucky if someone even bothers to buy your album as opposed to stealing it over the net, you have to give them something better for the dollars in the form of the physical copy.

Me either, but other than Chi Dem and now Slash I havent' bought a CD in ages.  But I used to buy them all the time.  But I haven't stop listening to music wink

If they want people to still buy physical copies you gotta try and give people some bang for their buck, because unless you were IT illiterate and didn't know how to download a song/album there is not really many reasons to purchase CD's anymore.

So having lyrics, maybe a DVD etc etc has to be considered with packaging these days.

not to mention that its hardly indy with EMI and Universal backing you

i'll admit i dont know the ins and outs of all that crap but it appears that the larger labels are helping distribute this album

The booklet is pretty disappointing IMO.

Another thing is that you'd need a magnifying glass to know that Izzy played on the disc.

Any one else find that a bit strange?

"Watch This" is billed as DAVE GROHL/DUFF MCKAGAN, while "Ghost" is billed as IAN ASTBURY.

Does anyone else think that Izzy didn't even show up for these sessions? Did Slash just use one of Izzy's old guitar tracks from their days as The Project?

Also agree with Aussie about giving the physical format buyers a reason to do so.

YEah i like the artwork overall, but I would have liked to have the lyrics included, I think that should be standard for any CD booklet, but that's just me.

As far as I can tell, "Watch This", is the biggest fucking bitchslap Axl has ever been served. Dave Grohl, the guy Axl spoke about wanting drums played like...the guy who publicy got in Axl's face back at the '92 VMA's...yeah, for Dave Grohl to come on down and play on a massive instrumental for Slash's solo disc is a huge fuck you to Axl Rose.

Maybe Axl could get CC Deville to do a solo on CDII:)

Considering Slash originally wanted him to sing, and Dave said no and played drums instead...

I don't think the intention was to say fuck you to Axl.
