They've only filled in the "O's" on the lineup. Pretty cool.
Obviously, Soundgarden is the first headliner. Hear that, James? Green Day, Lady Gaga also on the first line.

I cant believe Lollapalooza has turned into a 3 day festival, in Chi Town of all places(no offense Bri). That's a looooooooooooong way from me, and the chances of me going to this(regardless of the lineup) are pretty damn slim. It would probably cost me a couple grand for this show, and that's a 'no go' for me. The furthest I would travel for Soundgarden(or M.I.A.) is Los Angeles.
You're right though. Soundgarden is definitely headlining this. Now I just have to pray for a real tour. I hope each band members favorite city other than Seattle is San Francisco. 
Saikin, you have nothing to worry about. Warm up gigs in Seattle are practically a guarantee. They are not gonna do their first show in 14 years headlining that event. Too much risk involved. Cornell will want to see how these guys are onstage before making an ass of himself at this event.
M.I.A. was rumored to be doing Lolla but that is clearly not the case.

I'll save ya some money James. You can sleep on my futon. You just have to watch the kids one day so my wife and I can have a proper night on the town.
Bri, I'd be so fucked up on that trip, your kids would be babysitting me. 
Honestly though, I have always wanted to visit Chicago before I'm dead. Not really sure why I've romanticized the city so much. Probably dates back to being a hardcore Bears fan in my youth, and just grew from that. When I lived in Missouri for a few years in the 90s, I was always tempted to go there as it wasn't very far. When my dad died and a truckload of insurance money fell in my lap, I almost went but headed west instead.
On the subject of Lolla, Rye Rye can technically fit in that puzzle, so an M.I.A. performance(only a couple songs though) isn't ruled out.

Good point. But I'd also like to see Lady Gaga. 
I'll definitely be checking rigorously to see when SG play Seattle. And you can bet your ass I will be there.

Nice job on the Lollapalooza people's part picking those two letters first. Then they can fill in other letters and complete other bands and leave SG unfinished for a while just to tease fans.
Hopefully more updates come from SG this time.

The 4th one is Arcade Fire, the 5th is The Strokes. Them Crooked Vultures we're rumored to be playing, but they don't fit anywhere in the puzzle.
