Re: Dr. Alibi Streaming
Song sounds alright. I really like about 4 songs I've heard so far from the album. The rest of the songs I could take them or leave them. There's some good parts to them, but overall I find them average. On the bright side, there are positives to take out of most, if not all, of the songs. I don't necessarily think any of the songs are inherently BAD.

Re: Dr. Alibi Streaming
Faldor, Ali, unlike you is VERY PRO CURRENT GNR, as well as Chinese Blues. That is cool, but they do anything to justify anything by GNR, and paint Slash as a copy and a cheat. My point on HTGTH was that we all agree its the same riff. We all agree the riff is most important. But their tone was one of, "well, what axl did was cool cause it wasn't the basis for the whole song, yet what slash did (even if by accident) is the worst thing of all fucking time". You are open minded, I like that, but they keep repeating the same fucking thing like we are idiots. What did they say that was "earth shattering" other than the 25 times they said the song had the same riff and take away the riff you have no song. Pretty fucking knowledgable considering Chinese Democracy hardly had any riffs....
Re: Dr. Alibi Streaming
I still haven't listened to the riff in question. Maybe I should do that.
I think the main point to the riff vs. ambient noise discussion is that BOTH situations were accidental in a sense. I'm sure Slash didn't openly think to rip off a riff and use it as his own. And GNR's stance is that they thought they had covered all the bases and were legally allowed to use the ambient noise, believe that if you will.
Edit - Okay I listened to "Main Man" by The Ramones and it certainly is the same riff, no question about that. Again, I'm sure Slash didn't do it purposefully. He's probably heard a million riffs in his life, it's no surprise if one of them were to stick and sound original to him when it was anything but.
Song still sounds just okay to me. Overall though, I've liked what I've heard from the songs as a whole. I think this will be a fun album to listen to, and that's all that really matters.

yes, just like Axl thought him and Azoff were even... hahaha, i don't have a big issue with RNB and really, the song didn't even need it... The song is cool enough on its own merits.

Another awesome tune, this really is shaping up to be an awesome album. Never thought Id ever like a song with Adam Levine or Fergie on, so even that is a more than pleasant surprise.
So anyways, has this leaked yet or not? Cant seem to find it... But the MYGNR people seem to think it has, all i can find so far are the songs that have been streamed.
