You people don't know shit about GNR really.

The reason the band, HTGTH and lots of others have been trying to minimise slash's role is because there IS no slash.

What you consider to be Slash was actually an elabourate string maronette puppet being operated by Jim Henson. The sound comming out of his guitar
was from a wireless rig played by Bumblefoot in a van out back. Bumble used to be a shy guitar nerd who couldn't handle people watching him play.

Following the death of Henson, it was considered harder to operate the puppet, and for a time Brian henson did so, but he didn't get on well with the others, and eventually, "Slash" left the band. The puppet was sold to new operators who can't work it as well, which is why in VR the slash character doesn't run around as much on stage and is generally more restrained. There was also an accident where some of it's hair was accidenly set fire too, which is why it's been reworked a little recently.

Meanwhile GNR needed a new face for the band, as Bumble was still too shy to be on stage. So a giant robot was constructed called Buckethead. It was programmed to emulate the abilities of a rock god, but it's AI was in it's infancy at the time and it failed to be able to give sane interviews, or move around like a normal person, and was prone to random fits of lunacy and malfunction. The cost of the buckethead robot cost the chinese democracy project an estimated $15 million dollars. Which is the true cost of the record. You didn't really think it costs that much to record did you? Sadly it became too expensive to rework the program to take out the bugs. The robots obsession with chickens, porn, and trying to dance "like a real boy" ment it had to be dropped. To recoup costs it was sold off to a private development fund who still experiment with it on a smaller stage to this day.

Finally in 2006 Bumblefoot completed his threapy and felt capiable to reveal himself to the world at last. And so he "joined" GNR and now "covers" all the songs he's secretly played from the very first day back in the 1980s. To make sure that this process isn't too obvious to the public, 6 or 7 other new faces have also been added to the band over the years to hide the scent from the general public.

So it's worth considering that next time you freaks complain about Bucket being gone, or try to talk about how Slash is a better guitarist, all you are talking about is a glorified toaster and a muppet. And that's the truth smile

Oh really? If it's worse, go compare Finck's resume to Slash's. Then go compare Axl's to Cornell's.

For the record, Finck doesn't belong in a discussion with any of the above three mentioned.

I would put Axl over Cornell just because he is a better performer. I know Cornell is more prolific but something tells me Axl has a ton of music and songs....he just doesn't release them. It started right after Lies...as soon as he got rich, he seemed to decide that everything he did had to be as successful as AFD. I still think the ideas and music are there. He is just too hesitant and insecure to release anything....some form of mental block.
