The posts.....

Duff McKagan's Loaded had always been known simply as LOADED.
The band had also never had an album released in the U.S.

In 2008 the band signed with Century Media, and all of the sudden Duff's name had to be included in the bands name.
After another import release, the Wasted Heart EP.
The band finally got their first album released in the U.S., the 2009 full length album "Sick".
And soon afterwards Century Media dropped the band.

So what did they get for bastardizing the bands name?
- One U.S. release.
- 2 videos. (No More, Flatline)

Was it worth it?

I gotta say no.

Well, the story Ive heard was that Duff didn't want to work the record. Hey, if you're pushing 50 and loaded with a hot wife, do you want to restart it?? Probably not.

Century as a company isn't a place for that type of rock.

Look what happened with the acts on their Liquor & Poker imprint. A lot of great releases that the company couldn't or wouldn't do anything with, even though their success with Lacuna Coil proved they had the resources to get a cult level act to high visibility.

In any case, both the label and Duff were smart in that neither bought that proposed second stage slot on Cruefest last year.

Jeff the bassist said on support slots they get next to no money, but do it to get the name out.

Id say it has nothing to do with duff not being bothered, its just not getting the support needed.

Mick, got any info on this situation?

Loaded has never gotten off the ground. Just one of those things. Bucket is a great artist too, and never gotten any real respect outside of the underground.

Izzy is a great solo artist imo, and never been more than an "internet" artist.

Loaded is the same thing, and I do think it boils down to Duff's priorites. Loaded has failed before, and it would take alot of work to get it mainstream, and I think it's like starting all over again. When you have the money and resources that Duff has, who wants to do that, when you always have GN'R & VR in your back pocket?

It's a shame tho, they put out great material.

I havent really been keeping up with much, but the last thing I heard was this story back in feb.  Blabbermouth about being dropped.  All I know is they were working on new songs, and they still might be and looking for another label for them like it says in the article.   It seems interesting they are still on the CM page as an artist http://www.centurymedia.com/artists.aspx
Might be because they have the rights to that material and are keeping it available to make money from..thats all I can think of..
I dont think Duff is too bothered about getting any commercial success from it but he`s trying his best for the sake of the other guys to get them some sort of success/recognition.  At least thats what he said in a radio interview i heard in 2001 promoting Dark Days.  I mean, compared to Duff they're all broke and I`d like to see em get somewhere myself, they are decent fellas and Jeff`s (the bassist) done some decent stuff and has quite a good voice himself.
Whatever happens, happens..
