It's too freakin' late. Batman Begins kicked off with legit actors like Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, Gary Oldman...

Bay's Transformers films are a joke, and will be a legendary punchline in 5-7 years.

Shia LaBeouf is a HORRIBLE actor. Can't believe he's gotten the breaks he's gotten so far. And Megan Fox simply shows as much skin as she can, and that sells tickets.

Fuck off, I want a real movie.

I just lost some respect for McDormand. Malkovich has made some bad choices in recent years so I'm not too surprised. But McDormand? Very surprising choice.

While I agree with everything you said, I wanted to focus on this part.

I was excited about a Transformers live action flick. Even when Bay was revealed as at the helm. I still thought it would be ok. I went to a midnight show to see the first one. If I weren't with 4 other people, I'd have walked out.

I've sat through some GARBAGE at the theater and I really was ready to walk on the first Transformers flick. I didn't go back to see the second one. And I won't be caught dead at a 3rd.

The first Transformers gave me a splitting headache due to the closeup cameras and choppy editing during the fight scenes. Literally could not tell a difference between Optimus and Megatron because the camera was zoomed in so much.

I didn't bother watching the second one and I reckon I'll never bother watching it. 16

I grew up with Transformers, and have HUGE respect for the old TV series, and the 1986 animated film.

It should've stayed that way.

In an ironic twist, it does indeed remind me of the Batman franchise. Batman dominated the 1990's in terms of blockbusters.

Best films to come from the franchise from 1989-1999?

Batman: Mask of the Phantasm
and
Batman & Mr. Freeze: Sub-Zero

Both animated, go figure.

I was never excited to see a live action Transformers, and Bay proved why I shouldn't be. If anything, I wanted to see the anime films rebooted.

I gotta say I really enjoy the first Transformers movie, hated the second. I get that Transformers fans don't like it that frequently, but I do. I think it would be really weird to see a trilogy that's best films were 1st and 3rd, almost always the 2nd installment stands out.
