Carpenter's last truely 'great' film. Loved Prince of Darkness, but The Thing has that timeless quality, like Assault On Precinct 13, Halloween or Escape from NY.
My vote is for Daniel LaRusso and Mr. Miyagi and if you don't agree with me I will sweep your leg.
