Did someone bait him into a remark like that? Like if someone had suggested that his band sucked compared to the others I could understand a responce like that....but if he just came up with this on his own it's pretty wierd.

Fuck KISS. Extremely boring, tired, stale cliche rock. They've been playing it safe for decades. They are more of a product than an actual band, to the point of dressing up two scabs to make it look like the original band.
KISS aint even a wart on U2(or the Stones) asses. Simmons should be ashamed of the remarks.
Look at Sonic Boom and its lyrical content.....

Voodoo Lounge and No Line destroy anything in the KISS discography, and those aren't even their best albums.

I was once a Kiss fan.. And then I turned 5.
Me too. Was a huge KISS fan in first grade. Had the lunchbox and the whole nine yards. I even remember that lame KISS movie that seemed so cool back then. When I was six, my fave bands were KISS, the Bee Gees, and Journey. One of those bands I no longer listen to.

It's just Gene being Gene.
That said, I'm a huge KISS fan, and would take them and their show over U2 anyday of the week. I do love the Stones though. But no one puts on a show like KISS.
