Yeah, I loved "The Oaf" when it came out.

Can't say I've heard of any of these guys individually though.  Obviously Slash is the main (only) draw for the tour, at least in my eyes.

Debating on whether or not I'll see a stop on this tour.

Dude there's nothing to debate.

Now if the date was to clash with a gig of one of your other favourite bands maybe I'd entertain the idea of a decision....but if it's a regular night of the week doing whatever normal people do vs going to see slash.....there is no debate...there is only zool...and slash rocking the fuck out of GNR, Snakepit, VR and Solo Album tunes. Search your feelings. You know it to be true big_smile

Really? A bad performance put you off that much? Good thing you're not a Metallica fan then wink.

Wierd...i've never really seen Slash half-ass a performance, but I guess he's human and has to have an off night sometimes.

But the thing is, even if he plays bad for his standard, it's still going to be better than most other things that can be done in an evening.

I just see Slash as one of the true greats of his generation (he's not alone, there's some others) but like being that talented in music is a rare gift really, and in yourlife time there's only so many peformances one gets to see, and only so many a peformer does.

Assuming you are a fan at all, i personally wouldn't waste another chance to see him again unless you had something else real good to do. But that's just my way of looking at it I guess!

Brent Fitz was the drummer in the John Corabi/Bruce Kulick band Union, and I think he was in somehing more modern recently too on top of playing with Alice Cooper.

Edit:  It was Theory of a Deadman, I don't know why I didn't just google it to begin with.

As I said, I've seen Slash. Twice with GN'R and once with VR. Meeting him before the VR show was cool as hell. He was a super nice guy as was Duff, Duff was even nicer actually. I was so stoked to see VR and Slash absolutely half assed the show. That put a giant dent in my Slash-fandom.

Are you referring to the 2005 VR show at the Palace?  I thought that concert was AWESOME!  Slash did a killer solo right before "Wish you were Here".

Last time I saw Slash was VR and Alice in Chains opened. Cantrell was better. Sorry. Probably because VR sucks and Alice was awesome. But, it was an Alice in Chains greatest hits set vs a VR set....hands down Cantrell.

Now, put Slash in a Gnr greatest hits set, even with Weiland, and it should be even.

Personally, I am kinda over the top hat and cigarette...cool when you are 20....cheese when you are 40. I can say the same about Axl right now. The bracelets and bandanna are too 80's for me. Just rock the shirt and jeans and tats...let the red hair fly.

Oh well, I don't have a say....
