I wish I wasn't such a scrooge in my old age. Maybe its the fact I'm not married and never had kids is the main reason I never cared much about the holidays and it gets worse by the year. I even discourage anyone buying me gifts. Even just hearing a Christmas song makes me cringe and even worse is how they start the Christmas season too early now. Thanksgiving is almost bypassed entirely. Of course everyone has a big dinner but other than that its barely a blip on the screen.
