There's a fergie track on here and an Ozzy track. Don't rule out the synth. Ozzy can't sound good on a song nowadays without layers of the stuff and Fergie is fairly pop.

Slash has confirmed that the Fergie track is a rock song.

I don't think Fergie would've agreed or wanted to be on the album if it was anything but a ROCK song.  She's living out her rock n' roll dreams, since she plays that pop crap all the time.

I can't remember if I've posted this here but am I the only one who found this track to be very 'meh'? Kind of a bore. Enjoyed the solo at least.

Same here. Good solo. I just can't take that dude's voice, or the lyrics.

I tried... I swear I tried.

Odd, I absolutely loved it. And don't care for Wolfmother otherwise. I love the main lick and the chord progression.

Love Slash's tone on the solo, which is average Slash fare. The song itself is not great. It is a plodding bore as Axl S said.

This is the problem I'm going to have with Slash's solo album. I can't listen to average songs sung by the latest fad singer just to get to a cool solo. I can't even listen to TWAT for the Bucket solo because I'm not a big fan of the song overall.

That's why Slash should do an instrumental CD.

You could use itunes where u can set songs to start and stop at specific points whenever they're played. Sounds crazy but i've used this method in the past when a song will have a cool outro or a awesome huge solo in the middle or something but something else about the song turns me right off.

I think he considers himself too "Mainstream" to do an instrumental record. He would have a hard time trying to find a large record label to support an instrumental record and Slash seems to be still into the Major Label idea , riding the wave out as it were.

If this album flops, expect an instrumental record. This has been so hyped that if it tanks his mainstream aspirations are dead and buried

I'm still eager to hear those tracks he was working on before The Project, that were supposed to be on Slash's first solo album. He was exploring world music. That could have been great. Maybe we'll hear them on the second Slash album.
