Re: Take a look at my WWII book
I wrote a book about a Norwegian fighter pilot from World War 2 and got it published this fall.
Very proud of it. Took me 1.5 years of plain research and writing, but in reality it's been a project for a decade. Maybe the next one will come easier!
It's all Greek to most of you anyway, but if you want, you can surf thru 62 pages of it and look for pretty pictures. If you know any Scandinavians, tip em off. Not trying to sell you stuff or promote my shit in any way. Just very proud of it and it's all based on idealism, not money.
Re: Take a look at my WWII book
Congrats. Not sure how I missed this thread. I'll definitely check it out. Have always been interested in WWII. My grandpa was at Normandy and several other battles.
Regardless of what happens from this point forward in our planet's life span, there will never be another war like it. Just layer upon layer of complexities and indescribable horror. You could live hundreds of years and still not be able to digest the full story.
Read a LOT of WWII books in my youth. Many of them dealing with the Holocaust, but I also think that aspect of the war gets too much attention. Yes it was pure evil and I totally agree with the "never forget" mantra, but more credit and attention needs to be given to those who walked through those gates of hell to not just liberate the continents where it thrived, but preventing it from reaching all corners of the globe. I'm not just talking about Americans either. There were many who helped in the cause, including some Nazis.
