Not very smart from Anselmo.
Throwing things at performers. Not cool.
Instigating bodily harm. Even less cool.Two wrongs don't make a right, and Anselmo was very, very careless when asking for something like that.
Maybe not a beer, but when people were throwing coins and bottles and pieces of the stage at Axl back in those South American '92 shows, and he said to beat the fuck out the guys that did it...
GOD that was so fuckin' cool.

I've been quite lucky when going to concerts during my lifetime as of now.
The only thing that I can contribute with is that I remember when I saw GN'R for the fourth time during my "Eurotrip", in Finland to be exact, back in 2006 when someone threw a large piece of fake fur on the stage right onto Axl.
What did he do? He picked it up, went to the microphone and while laughing said:
"I'm going to burn this little motherfucker on the pyro!"

i suppose you need to understand the mentality of the detroit pantera crowd...first and only time i was truely frightened at a concert
the floor was mostly skinheads...i prayed for dear life that i didnt get "nudged" into the pits that opened up around me as i watched
fucking awesome show though

On the first, we threw him a bandana, as he was obviously lacking one. 
Axl was immediately in on the joke, 'though he didn't wear it. He snatches it mid-air and put it around his arm.

Yeah, I forgot to add that.
I had floor tickets for the first show and seating for the second.
Axl was hilarious. The jokes regarding the arrest in Sweden were priceless.
