Screw the Yankees and their Dr. Evil payroll (one hundred billion dollars...mwhahahaha). Seriously, $400 fucking million for three new players in addition to already paying $300 million to A-Rod. It's laughable.

It makes it all worth it too see how many people hate on them for being in that position.
LOL. For every World Series the Yankees win, there's around 5-10 other ones that they don't win. They aren't bigger than the sport, even if their fans and owner seem to think so.

Babe Ruth was bigger than the sport. The Yankees aren't. They're like Notre Dame. Perhaps if Ruth was a douche bag like Ty Cobb he wouldn't have been quite as big of a star as he was, but he was a good guy so pretty much everyone in the country liked him. It's impossible for me to like George Steinbrenner. He's an asshole. Plain and simple.

Just so you know, BLS, I hate the Red Sox possibly more than the Yankees. The two of them get way more attention (TV broadcasts) than they should at the expense of other teams in the league. I can tell you that down here in Texas, people don't give a shit about either of those teams. But good old East Coast ESPN pimps the hell out of them to the entire country whether we want it or not. It's the same thing with the Big 10 in college sports. They get so much attention because the media is biased as fuck towards Ohio State and Michigan. Thank goodness for Fox Sports Southwest. Otherwise we'd be stuck watching Red Sox and Yankees games instead of being able to watch the Astros or Rangers.
