At all glances it looks bad. He probably can polish this turd, but when you're capable of whipping up a batch of diamonds, why waste time on turd polishing?

It's just a really odd decision on his part. He's very prolific, and wasting time on this is really out of character.

Don't put a whole year or so into it. Bang it out in a couple weeks.

Time for recording isn't the issue. Cornell bangs everything out in a few weeks. The issue of redoing the album so soon is it will likely extend his solo tour for at least one more leg, and of course if he promotes it again on the talk show circuit.

I do agree that it needs to be some sort of bonus disc of sorts. Throw it on Itunes and for people who buy the first version, they get this one for free(or vice versa).

In the long run it will help heal the wound but. I wouldn't be surprised if this isn't official

Interesting I'd welcome him moving back in more of a rock direction....

HE should have just done it like this in the first place.  I don't mind him writing with timbaland but the fact that alost ALL the instrumentation was timbalands just pissed me off

the guy probably loves the songs and has finally realised that Timbaland was not the man for the job.

There are rumors circulating that Cornell has received help on this from Soundgarden members.

There are also rumors that his touring band is no longer together and have other commitments for next year.

I don't believe it. Its just wishful thinking.

Such a move would be completely out of character for all involved.

If the four of them ever get in a studio together again, they're not gonna be rerecording Climbing Up The Walls. If they went the rerecording route, they would probably rerecord Soundgarden songs for a compilation.

He doesnt say the four of them got together. Maybe Kim did guitar on 1 track and Matt layed down some drums for another? Who knows only time will tell

I find it hard to believe as well.  It would be my guess that if there's any validity to the rumor it would be one SG member on one song.

Wow. I dig it. I still think he should just make a new album, put this fucker as a bonus disk.

I wouldn't doubt he would work with Soundgarden again, but not as Soundgarden.
