14 well there was a point in time when I knew I was right but was hoping I could be proven wrong but I don't think that'll ever happen. They already played back to back night in Rogers Center in September to instant sell outs. Yours truely was at both shows 16

9 I'll be there. This past year or so I have blown off a few concerts I planned on attending, but I am NOT missing that show. I want to see this band while it is still on top of the world. Next time they tour after this, they will all be in their 50s so now is the time.

I have a few issues with their set list, but not to the point where I will skip it.

At this point I don't even think a GNR reunion could compete.

U2 has two things going for them:

They have become what the Stones became in 89..... an unstoppable touring juggernaut. The band is willing to lose money while selling out stadiums across the globe just to put on a spectacle unlike ever seen before.

While they are approaching fifty, they are still a relevant act. That is unheard of. Other acts their age are on the nostalgia circuit. They have always refused to live in the past, to the point where tons of old songs never have the chance of being performed.

No one can compete with that.

Very true.  U2 is pretty much an unstoppable force throughout the world.  Few, if any bands can match them.

To a lesser extent, Bon Jovi is aging well as a band too.  Although I haven't liked anything they've done since 1989 they can still hang with the best of them.

On a side note, I just saw this quote from Bono about NLOTH and challenging albums. I think Chinese falls in the challenging category and suffered for it.....along with the lack of a true pop rock song for today's radio. Anyhow, thought this was interesting. hmm

Yeah the entire  band was dissapointed in the sales of the album from the stand point that it's gotten rave reviews from critics and fans alike. NLOTH is being hailed as one of their very best albums yet sales don't project that.  Fair arguement coudl be said for CD as well, although I never really liked CDas an album it is kind of in the same category as NLOTH as being new and fresh yet nothing in paticular that catches the average listener's ear instantly.
