This is truly a once in the lifetime series for me..! Granted, NY needs 1 more win, but it seems relatively likely. This Phillies team is solid! And on a roll, J-Roll. Haha, but seriously, this is gonna be awesome!!

I HATE the Yankees. But I don't see how Philly beats them. I just don't think their pitching is good enough to hold down the Yanks potent lineup. I kept trying to convince myself all season that the Yankees really weren't THAT good, disregarding their ridiculous record since A-Rod returned. They just seem destined this year. For one, they're a damn good team. But things just seem to go their way too. I hope I'm wrong and I hope the Phils outlast them. I just don't see it happening. Pedro Martinez will get rocked by the Yanks. It's nice what he did against the Dodgers, but come on. The Dodgers lineup is like a minor league lineup compared to the Yanks.

ALCS isn't over. I realize it's a long shot for the Angels to win it but don't get ahead of yourselves. The Yanks still need to win one more.

The Yanks lineup?? The Yanks lineup?? Have you watched any Phillies games?! 4 guys hit over 30 home runs!! Their 8 hitter is batting .346 in the playoffs, the 7 hitter just jacked a HR in the clinching game. The team averaged 7 runs per game in the NLCS and 5 runs per game against Colorado. The Yankees have A-Douchetard & Teixiera, and Jeter is a pretty stand up guy, but then Damon, Matsui & Posada are all getting older & on the downside of thier careers. Plus at Philly you gotta take off whoever their DH is, and sit them on the bench letting the pitcher bat.
All I heard before the Dodgers series was how "Lights Out" the Dodgers relievers were, and what happened... The Dodgers relievers blew most of the games anyway. Cliff Lee is pitching AS GOOD as CC Sebaitha plus the Phils have done very well against him the last few years. Pedro is not the type to get flustered, you can put him in Iraq or the North Pole & tell him to pitch & he'll do just as good either way. So it's very possible to win one up in NY (or LA).

No one is near pitching as good as CC has been. You are insane to think that. A-Rod and Tex aren't the only Yankees you should be worried about. Jeter, Posada, Petite, Damon have all been to the big show and all have won the big show. Cano is clutch as proved with his triple. Matsui is getting old but when it comes time for a hit he can usually come up big. We have the best set from Huges to the best closer Mo. The Yankees out scored the Angels a shit load so far.
The ALCS is tied right not bottom of the 7th even if NY drops this one we will make the series and spank around Philly.

Let's not jump the gun here bubba. The Yankees haven't won the ALCS yet. The Angels won tonight, and the series is now 3-2 heading back to NYC.
Trust me. Take it from this old Cub fan. Never get too confident. I thought the Cubs were a shoe-in in 2003 also, 3-1 on the Marlins. Guess who went to the series and beat the Yankees? Fish.
The Yankees also need to remember a little ALCS series in 2004 that I recall them being up 3-0, and the Red Sox going to the series.
So let's just wait before we declare this a Yankees/Phillies World Series, and it's good for you if we do.
If it's Phillies/Angels - Phillies win. If it's Phillies/Yankees - Phillies get SWEPT. jmo.

Are we going to have to compare Ryan Howards stats too? Or are you believing me now. No way BLS you can overrate this Yankee team. The Angels lineup is no better than the Dodgers & they can't put them away. You're releivers blew another one last night. AJ Burnett pitches like old people fuck, Bobby Abreau is a reject from the Phillies & Yankees, and yet the Yankees still lose to him. Good grief, guess the Phillies are gonna have to do what the Yankees can't accomplish, beat LA.
