Re: Judge: Cellphone Ringtones Are Not Concerts
Baz is a fanboy of Axl's. In his mind, he's the greatest ever. And for Baz's generation... Axl was the best. But people move on.
Angel Down's biggest problem was that it sucked... hard (jmo). The Axl tracks were the best ones, and even they'd be B-sides or cutting room floor demos on a Chinese Democracy.
I think some artists are willing to embrace the change. Axl seems willing to, but at the same time, still behaves like it's 1999 in terms of the internet. But when you have a band that does absolutely nothing, what do you expect. Others like Baz, have YouTube clips removed, then explain why. It doesn't matter. The moment you send that e-mail, the moment you press that button, you've become an old, senile, entitled, douche BAG. Be gone, and for it is so. That's why nobody bought you really really lame album Baz.
I know a radio guy that has a website, and is the same way as the business folk in the music industry. He promises all kinds of new material on the website, never delivers, demands his monthly subscription fee, and operates his website and layout like it's 1999. Then when people cancel their subscriptions, it's not his fault for not getting with the times, it's pirates and bootleggers who destroyed the business.
No baby... the music industry itself, put a fucking shotgun in it's mouth, cocked it, and pulled the GD trigger. They did it, not us.
