Re: Slash Myspace, Facebook, and Twitter updates
I think he said he had a surprise female peformer on the album at one stage...so perhaps that's Nicole.
Personally I don't care how poppy the peformer as long as slash shreds out some mega insane guitar on the track.
Re: Slash Myspace, Facebook, and Twitter updates
it cant all be bad. I mean he's updating his fans on a very regular basis, sure its sorta just to help promote the album, but he's keeping us engaged.
absolutely.
she is ensuring that slash enters the 21st century and becomes relevant again...after all, he funds all of their activities...:-)...
she wants him out there, she wants him popular, and she wants him famous again...
not a bad thing at all, and if it brings him to the top of music charts worldwide, i will be happy...and as long as he does some good guitar work as well...

Ain't It Fun?
No.
Re: Slash Myspace, Facebook, and Twitter updates
Japan??? That sounds familar....
Hmmmm
I've been wondering for a while if this, Slash and "Freinds" album, is coming out to ride the crest of the Pro Slash wave in the aftermath of Chinese Democracy.
I wonder if having all these friends on it is a way of bolstering the impression that he is a good guy who everybody likes, so he must have been the good guy in the break up of old guns.
Its far fetched, never really thought it credible to be honest, its just a general wondering. But seeing now he has decided to release a couple of singles in Japan, on the eve of a GNR tour makes me wonder even more.

If any of that is true, its just a win-win situation for him. GNR tours increase sales of the old albums, and with Slash being active in the same vicinity as the upcoming tour, it will increase those sales even more as well as bringing attention to his own material.
It also helps Axl because once again casual fans get to be fooled for a nanosecond, long enough to buy a ticket.
The two may hate each other, but both have an amazing ability at putting money in the others pocket.
Releasing singles to a specific region is such an outdated model. It just means less sales because no one is going to wait for it to come here.
