Drummer Geoff Reading has left Duff McKagan's Loaded. He says in a statement, "The pressures of being in the 'Duff from Guns N' Roses' spotlight, while thrilling, have left me unable to get back to the performer I was pre-cancer, and unable properly provide for my family. This combination has plagued my mental recovery, and I need to take time now to focus on these things.
The fellas have hired the great Isaac Carpenter (Loudermilk, Gosling, Ours, The Exiles) to fill in for the UK tour, with a warm-up show at the Chop Suey in Seattle on October 3. I wouldn't miss this show for anything. Isaac is an AMAZING drummer and I, for one, will be right there in front of the stage, with all you Capitol Hill hipsters, arms folded, judging them.

Couldn't work out if what he was saying was actually having a dig at Duff or not, but yeah come on, it's called Duff McKagan's Loaded, that's kinda hard to miss!
Duff has always made out that the band is a very democratic situation, despite his name being attached to Loaded.

I think the freak show that must follow all members of the AFD era GNR must be hard for sane people to take. I think most of them still have stalkers and shit to deal with.
After 20 years I'm sure Duff doesn't even notice but to an older guy like Geoff who has probably enjoyed his quiet family life its probably all a bit exhausting.

There`s no digging going on, but I`m sure theres more to this than meets the eye. It was plain "Loaded" before Sick, and Duff was outvoted on having his name attached so it was their choice to have it up there to help them get a foot in the door, but it seems to be a double edged sword for them. Maybe it seems to him the `band` isnt getting anywhere and are still being labelled as like he said "Duff from....band"..
Its unusual for Duff to have kept a little quiet so far though.. probably nothing, probably waiting for a proper time.
