I also think that always deserved a sequel. Only reason it never happened was the Rocky and Rambo juggernauts he had. He never felt the need to pull out the sequel card for Cobra. Too late now though. It's probably his most dated film, and there's negativity attached to it as his ex wife was the co star and critics weren't really blown away by it.
He should have done a Cobra sequel during his Cliffhanger period.
Tango & Cash 2 should've also happened.
Thing is, both Stallone & Russell could still do it.

Yeah! Starring John Barrowman as John McClane - high kicking over those kalashnikov bullets all the time! 
I vote, Predator brings the (Ridley-Scott) Alien to earth, introduces it to the John Carpenter Thing, they fuse/cuddle/do a slimy alien buttfuck, then find Rambo and Hannah Montana and go into a labyrinth to fight to the death... only the toughest will survive!

How about Rambo vs. Predator? That would be a good one...
I'd dig it. In a sense, it's the only realistic story.
Instead of throwing the Predator into Rambo's world, you throw Rambo into the Predator's, and it basically just becomes Stallone vs. the Predator, no different than Schwarzenegger vs. the Predator.
