Patrick Swayze died today after a long battle with cancer. He was 57.
Swayze was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in January 2008. His publicist says he died with his family at his side.
He was the star of such movies as "Ghost," "Dirty Dancing," and "Road House." Swayze was named People's Sexiest Man Alive in 1991.

Damn. An 80s icon. 2009 has not been kind to 80s pop culture. I know his career started going down the B movie tubes in the mid 90s, but this guy could have easily had a Travolta style comeback at any time. Obviously it will never happen now, but the potential was there.
My favorite Swayze movies, and I'll be watching these later this week...
Next of Kin (extremely underrated flick)
Road House
North and South(epic miniseries)
and of course Ghost. Point Break wasn't bad, but I prefer everything listed above.

And underrated actor. Point Break is a personal favorite. He will be missed.
Totally agree, was a big fan of Point Break when it came out.
