Re: Rob Zombie to remake 'The Blob'
That's one. It's been years since I read it, but the ending I remember was slightly different from that one. Mainly Loomis lives.
I think there were SEVERAL alterations to the script. Farrands mentioned, Moustapha Akkad mentioned, and I don't recall, but it might've been discussed in that H25 doc.
They basically took Farrands original and kept tweaking it and tweaking it, even as they filmed the movie.
Axlin08 wrote:Yeah, if you haven't ever read Daniel Farrands original script for Halloween 6, it's a riot in a sense. It's MASSIVE scale. He practically wanted to do Die Hard with Michael Myers, with Wynn being like this major villian, and Loomis & Tommy being action heroes with helicopters coming in to pull Myers out in the finale before they got to him. The neo-Druids were originally going to be like Opus Dei in The Da Vinci Code. It was epic in scale.
Definitely the most ambitious Halloween sequel. Obviously it was scaled WAY back in the final product.
Do you have a link to the script at all? It sounds hillarious.
Unfortunately I don't. There's also various versions out there that describe themself as "the original", so it's hard to know which one. Plus it's been a bunch of years. But the one coppereye posted is pretty similar to what I remember.
Is that the script where Myers goes on some cross country adventure in his car?
No, I think that was Kevin Williamson's original draft for Halloween H2O - "Halloween 7: The Revenge of Laurie Strode".
