For what? Being a lesbian? Kinda strange that the Adam kid was so openly gay and now Ellen DeGeneres gets a job hosting American Idol? Trying to gain numbers in that demographic? A comedian? How is she even musically related to this show. This is a sinking ship of a show.

To me this show has nothing to do with music, so whether or not they get a judge that has anything do with music or not doesn't bother me either way. It's all about ratings and Ellen is pretty popular these days.

This will cost them. The Bible belt, and ultra-conservatives are the family viewing audience of this, and were single-handedly the reason that Adam Lambert didn't win last season.
People will tune out. This country still hates gays with a purple passion. Friggin' bigots.
