I can't believe Inxs Kick went out so fast.

I loved that record as a kid, my tastes got much heavier and evolved from there, but it was a huge record back in the 80s. That INXS video from webley stadium shows how big that got....

I don't intend this to be mean, just a possible part of an explanation - I hate INXS in the 80s (and don't know anything else of them). Maybe it's music that aged extremely poorly, I can't name a person my age or near my age that likes INXS to any degree.

It was Saturday and the vote drop off  50%. Figured I'd leave it open until later today. If it's still tied later today when I get home, I'll whip out the dreaded tie breaker round.

Yeah...i do think that much of their cataloge sounds like the vintage it came from, in terms of the instruments and styles of recording. Although I do think a number of their songs, especially some of the less well known ones are quite beautiful as well. I was a massive fan in the 80s, and then moved on to harder rock music....but i know a bit about them as a mate stayed loyal and into them and so kept me exposed to their latter stuff.

Being an aussue, I think people who never saw Michael Hutchence live don't really appriciate what a performer he was too...one of those charamatic energetic people that make a show work.
