Alice Cooper has confirmed to Australia's Undercover News that he will guest on Slash's solo album.

"I just finished writing a couple of songs for Slash's new album that is going to be coming out. He is working with a bunch of lead singers. It is sort of a nice idea of Slash and Alice, Slash and Iggy, Slash and Meat Loaf or whoever is going to be on it. It is a great idea."

I read that yesterday, but I'm not sure if he's just throwing names out there or if he knows for sure who's on the album.  The "or whoever is gonna be on it" comment throws things off a bit.

^^^Exactly.

I don't know either, but Alice and Iggy are confirmed, so it's plausible that Meat Loaf is on it as well.

We'll find out eventually.

Considering that like twenty singers were named by different sources close to Slash, it seems like either he's recording 2 album worth of material/extra songs for movies etc., or some of the mentioned collabos didn't turn out well, so Slash chose others.

Or the songs are very short (likely), around 2-3 minutes in length, and there will be like 18-20 tracks on the album, all with different vocalists.

Just to gauge interest around here, how interested would you say you guys were for 1) Contraband, 2) Libertad, 3) Chinese Democracy, 4) Slash's solo album?

For me, I'd rate my interest level for Contraband about a 9.  Libertad was probably a 7.  Chinese Democracy was obviously a 10.  And Slash's solo album is about a 4 for me right now.  Maybe it's because it's so far away from coming out, by his own admission.  Maybe when it comes closer to being released I'll get a little more excited about it.  But I could care less about reading about what a wicked guitar riff he layed down in the studio today.

Slash's solo album is right now is higher for me than it was for CD that last 2 years prior to the release.  With Slash's solo album, everything is STILL a secret!
