Guys Radiohead are famous in this country for having several critically acclaimed albums.

Oasis are famous in this country for having two popular albums a decade ago, everything thing they released since has been lambasted by the music media and many of their own fans.

Actually during the past decade, Noel has got more media coverage over his swipes at other artists and swearing, than his music.

Agree with Buzz. Oasis is okay, but not near the groundbreaking band they are made out to be.

Oasis was NEVER made out to be groundbreaking. The Beatles infulence is hugely documenetd and admited by Noel all the time. Oasis was made out to be a  kick ass rock band and they are. Not sure where this groundbreaking thought process is coming from.   Oasis has a ton of real kickass songs. I get that some people don't like them but don't dislike them based off something that isn't even true.

Oh I agree completely. The media were the ones that treated them like they were some revolutionary band of the 90's.

Wasn't The Real Thing released in 1989?

What is everyone's big freakin' deal with Foo Fighters? Every rock fan i've ever known are fuckin' nuts about that band... I don't get apparently. They are really really mediocre. Grohl's shining achievement ended with In Utero as far as i'm concerned.

The Foos have released consistently good singles over the span of a 14 year career. That is an achievement right there.

That being said, I'm not a fan, and never thought of them as an "album" band.

Grohl can stick that Baker Street cover as far up his ass as humanly possible.
