Re: Best Album of the 80s Elimination- Round 2
Can't belive kick is gone so early....not my favourite album of all time...but if you remember the 80s....INXS were massive....
I'm voting for Janes Addiction...not that I don't like them....but the album doesn't scream 80s to me like the rest of this list.
I forgot to nomiate Cindi Lauper too. Sigh.

1/3 of these albums don't deserve to be here.
Beastie Boys to go.
Re: Best Album of the 80s Elimination- Round 2
NIN doesn't deserve to be in any 80's elimination, especially NOT going before an INXS, which could be argued as a decade-defining band for that era.
I agree, same with Janes Addiction. I don't care if the albums were techincally released in the 80's, unless you had your fingertips on the pulse of the music scene you didn't know about those two bands until well into the 90's. You tell me you think 80's when you think of either of those bands?
My vote is with Janes Addiction again.

Agreed, and like I said earlier the exact same could be said for Metallica. At least for Kill 'Em All up through Puppets. Let's be realistic here. Outside of some metalheads in a basement, Metallica wasn't exactly Van Halen during the mid 80's.

Yeah to a point, I didn't discover Metallica until the Black Album came out, but they did release some of their best stuff in the heart of the 80's. I'm not well versed in the history of NIN and Janes Addiction but I'm pretty sure they weren't as big as soon as Metallica.
