Before it all started I thought it would come down to Metallica vs UYI 2, with Superunknown being the wildcard & possibly a spoiler.  I was a little off.

I think this is a good album, not the greatest, but Top 10 imho.

Definately Achtung Baby and The Bends. I loved Wish by the Cure as well. I think Pearl Jam's Ten is much better than Nevermind, though I'm not gonna argue the influence of the two cause we all know which one wins that.

I do agree Nirvana didn't get a fair shake. Hell, I think In Utero is their opus, not Nevermind.

Both of those albums were taken to the broom closet in seconds. There's definitely a hardcore hatred for those guys, out of spite, in the hard rock crowd.

I don't hate nirvana, and it's not spite for me but I do think they're overrated. For some of us, I think it's reactionary to the massive following they got after kurt's death. All of a sudden he was being painted as Jesus.

I think nirvana was a good band, with music that's both exciting, and at times interesting psychologically, and that made kurt a talented songwriter and peformer. But nothing more and nothing less. He didn't suck, but he didn't invent music either.

Yeah, but he did connect with a generation, that felt he spoke for them.

Many generations have had those artists, from Buddy Holly to John Lennon.
