Re: Axl Eating His Words? (the song Sorry)
You think Axl is/will be eating his words (assuming the song is somewhat about Slash?). Especially with Slash's album coming out soon.
"difference is nobody cares about you"
"but I won't let you win"
"I'll kick your ass like I said that I would"
Just something to ponder, especially if Slash's solo album outsells ChiDem.
Re: Axl Eating His Words? (the song Sorry)
I think not letting him win is more on a personal level than record sales. And Kicking his ass I would take as the physical sense cause we know Axl is a little crazy. I think the song is more on a personal level between the two people from Axl's side. Slash's solo could outsell Chi Dem just because of the star power he has behind it and a few proven pop cash makers.
Re: Axl Eating His Words? (the song Sorry)
Axl doesn't kick ass. He just talks about doing it. Hell, during the feud with Vince, Vince offered to meet him anywhere of his choosing and he wouldn't do it.
Not saying Axl is a pussy. He looks like he wouldn't take much shit, and when really pissed off, probably blows his stack and is capable of anything. Always thought it was cool how when Izzy got blindsided by Vince at the 89 VMA's, Axl ran to his defense but Vince was already gone.
As far as the song goes, I think its a mixture of different subjects. Some of it sounds directed at fans. The 'kick your ass' line could be aimed at someone we don't even know.
On the topic of Slash's solo record, its definitely gonna sale more in the U.S. than CD did.

I never got why so many people think that certain songs are about certain people,I think they are about alot of different people and not just about Slash,if any of the songs are even about Slash at all.

Yeah, that's what's cool about lyrics to me. Most of the time it's not a story, it's a combination of different things put abstractly.
He could have been thinking about Slash when he wrote these lyrics, he also could have been thinking about a guy who gave him a bad haircut, or something from his childhood. It could be as simple or complex as any of those, and more likely a little bit of it all.
That's why I'm not a big fan of concept albums a lot of the time, they're more likely to be black and white lyrically.

Didn't Hilfiger pretty much prove that Axl is all bark?

Well, it would have been different if it was Chuck Norris or Mr. T, but come on. Tommy Hilfiger?
Re: Axl Eating His Words? (the song Sorry)
Axl was really dumbfounded at why Hilfiger reacted so crazily, and over so little.
Rumor was from just about everyone there, that when it finally registered with Axl what was going on, Axl was raring up to break him in half, and by that point Hilfiger's own security was already escorting him away from Axl before he committed suicide.

Yeah, according to Axl.
We all know that there's 3 sides to every story.
And "committed suicide" probably isn't the most accurate description of what most people have done when they messed with Axl. Let's just be realistic here, please.
