i am a member of this board because guns n roses is my favorite band and I love their music. thus i see it as no "crime" to vote Black Album.
I'm with you. While I do love the "Black Album" (also love "Ten"), I'd easily place both UYI's above any other album from the 90's. Some of the so called "filler" are my favorite songs.

Its a great album, but I would listen to both Illusions before the Black Album. No doubt.

UYI II is NOT better than the Black Album. Black album was a beast, and the only song on it that could be considered filler is The Struggle Within.
See, to show how diverse many of us are here, you say The Struggle Within is the only filler, while its one of, if not my favorite on the Black Album.

3/12 - UYI II + 2 extras (Locomotive [tie], Don't Cry-alt.)
That's how I figured it up in my head, so that's my final decision.
My vote for this round goes to UYI II. All great albums, but UYI II is the lesser (narrowly) from UYI I & Metallica. It's gonna be interesting for me in the final round. UYI I & Metallica are a flat out tie. It's gonna come down to preference.

UYI II is my favorite album ever. Not just of the 90s. That said, I can see why others would vote it off based on So Fine, My World, and a couple other songs that I like musically that others can't stand. Estranged and Locomotive are possibly my 2 favorite songs, so it's hard for me not to vote this album #1.
I voted Metallica, though Ten was a better album than Metallica. I might have voted UYI I off before Ten.
