Re: Best album of the 80s- Nominations
South of Heaven needs to be in more people's list. It's a metal classic and is one of the greatest albums from that decade.
Fixed that for ya.
Funny that Slayer has received several votes, yet I'm the only one to choose South of Heaven.
For the record, I didn't like Peace Sells. I am a proud nutswinger of the Rust In Peace line up.
Holy Heck! I forgot:
Queensryche - Operation: Mindcrime (1988)
Great album. Not as good as Empire, but Mindcrime brings back memories of 8th grade.
Journey: Escape. If this doesn't make it, well ...
I'll have more.
i'm gonna need a day to wrap my brain around this....
Looking forward to both your lists.
Bri, you gonna dig for some obscure Bucket cassette to nominate?

Oh I agree there, I always thought they were the best Megadeth lineup as well. But C'MON Peace Sells is one of the pioneer thrash albums. The first five tracks are phenomenal and the last three whilst not that great are alright filler.
EDIT: Also your right South of Heaven needs more love.
Is there a limit on how many albums we can nominate?

Is there a limit on how many albums we can nominate?
There probably should be.
If there's some albums you forgot to add, go ahead and add them to your list. Especially if its albums already nominated. Looks like there's gonna be a ton of ties around 2 votes each.
Forgot about...
Tina Turner - Private Dancer
That's a good one.
