I was one of those that grew up with the revival Aerosmith. I was more familiar with there 80s & 90s catalog. I first heard Rag Doll on an episode of Miami Vice, and fell in love with the song, and for a while it was one of my favorites. But over time, it's degraded more and more into "just another song".
When I went back and discovered there old stuff, it really slammed the door shut on their newer stuff. Sure I still like the newer stuff, but songs like Dream On are legend, whereas there's really nothing from the revival that I would put up there in terms of rockers.
Back In The Saddle is another 'good' song. But there are others I like better.
