Re: "Banditos" The Refreshments
That song was everwhere during that summer, I was just going into third year of university and all the cool guys who were moving in had it blaring with their speakers facing out in their windows.
And now, since I've clicked that Youtube link, the song has been repeating in my head over and over. I even woke up humming the stupid thing.

Re: "Banditos" The Refreshments
Didn't these fellows do the King of the Hill theme song, too?
You are correct. I was not aware.

The Refreshments was a rock band from Tempe, Arizona. The band is best known for the witty single "Banditos" from their 1996 breakthrough album Fizzy Fuzzy Big & Buzzy, and also for "Yahoos and Triangles," the theme song to the long-running animated series King of the Hill. The latter was a piece the band traditionally performed at soundchecks.[1]
Re: "Banditos" The Refreshments
I found an old cassette single that was some kind of record label promo ( ahhh I miss the days of old record stores) that had this song on there.
Another kindof one hit wonder of their day. Similar sounding song, this from about 93 or 94 I'd guess. I think this was in a movie I recently saw, can't remember which.
On a side note, the other song on the tape was from Reverend Horton Heat, a somewhat industrial band which never quite hit the mainstream. The song of theirs kindof reminds me of Riad a bit (moreso on the recorded version than this live performance).
