I never ever watched Miami Vice, but quite liked Roseanne for a while when I was young.
They used to show Roseanne and Cheers back to back on a Friday night here in the 80's, I always remember watching it when I came home from football training.

Roseanne sucked. Never cared for the show at all. Reminded me far too much of my own family, and I hated them, was probably the reason.
Vice is an icon. To believe it's getting beaten by this show of all shows is absurd. The show made a stamp on EVERYTHING. It set musical trends in how shows were score, it's music video-like presentation changed how TV mixed music with their presentations to this very day, the dark-gritty cop show formula paved the way for shows like The Sopranos & The Shield later on and what they could get away with in writing, the show also left a stamp on men's fashion still felt today. Vice revolutionized men's fashion, with men to this very day still going for the "Crockett" look.
Not to mention, even now 20 years later, and 20 years from now, it'll still be a show that was a cultural phenomenon that defined a decade of Americans, while people will say Rose who?

I'm more voting against Roseanne than FOR Miami Vice. I actually used to like the show back in the day but I can't stand it anymore. Although I was never really a fan of Miami Vice either, so really I could care less about either of these 2 shows.
