Re: i'm back
Yeah, but Axl kept talking about "wanting to do it right," blah blah blah...
You think the events of Nov 23rd and beyond were "doing it right?" no way.

We would not have the album today if it weren't for leaks. Thus the rush job, with no promo. Axl looked at it as get it out there and make some money, because most have already downloaded the full album for free.
If Axl were to have waited for 5 years after the leaks, CD would've done Angel Down numbers.
So it takes 9 leaks to rush the album out? The 6 from 2006 weren't enough? Or maybe it's because they didn't have the Best Buy deal at that time, is that possible?
Maybe. CD was destined for an 'exclusive' release since 2006.

You might be swaying me. It is possible that the label felt their hand was forced to get the album out to the masses, thus the apparent rushed release. After all, didn't the anti-quiet leaks come from Universal, was that ever proven? I don't think the leaks caused Axl any concern over needing to release the album ASAP though. Maybe he was talked into it, and once the Best Buy deal was in place then he probably was all for it knowing the debt was relinquished in one fell swoop.
