Absolutely under NO circumstances, should reality shows, documentary, or "how to" shows, be nominated.
Fictional comedies or dramas only, imho.
I think it would also make more sense to face off comedies vs. comedies and dramas vs. dramas the whole run, until the final match, which should be comedy vs. drama.
I like that idea, I was thinking that earlier today. Split the tourney into genres. Comedies and dramas for sure, maybe reality TV (let's face it they're hugely popular these days), cartoons (not comedy), etc.

^yeah i know, but even the uk peeps around here were nominating US shows, so i didnt see a reason to segregate uk from us shows....the most popular show will win regardless....a couple of them had an extremely large # of nods (for the amount of nominations we received)
besides i'm sure some of the US shows up there have enough satyrical wit to satisfy any Brit 
for some reason all 4 you mention are all comedies 
is that the only sort of television show they air over there?

a bit of a double edged sword there....we can either get the polls to come up with no error or we get the regular threads to come up that way i suppose i could move this thread to the garden section and jsut leave the polls in this section that would fix it

Oh right, its best to live with it I reckon rather than move.
If you lived on such a miserable, damp, dull and violent little island you would appreciate a small humour injection now and again as well 
Father Ted owns them all. I reckon you would have to have been raised on Only Fools and Horses and the characters to really apprieciate it.
