I think Schism and Parabol/a alone put Lateralus ahead of ChiDem.
Bucket, it's the album of those 4 I enjoy least.

If Tool wasn't up there, I would agree.
VR hanging in so long also played a role in its continued survival. I don't care if a Liberace hits album was on the verge of winning, no way in hell would I knock CD off a list with CB still in contention.
CD is good, but I would probably rank Electric Tears ahead of it, although its basically a tie. You're basically pitting Axl's voice against some of Bucket's best work. If Tool loses this round, next round will be the most difficult of the entire elimination.
Out of the four remaining, Audioslave is clearly the cream of the crop and for the record, Audioslave has had the fewest votes in every single round, and in most rounds had zero votes. While it will obviously start getting votes now, that is a lengthy trend that will probably last until its victory(knock on wood).
While Electric Tears is definitely one of my favorite albums this decade, I am literally in shock that it made it to the final four.
i listened to electric tears far more often than chinese democracy so for me it's simple. and i got into bucket because gnr. but the fact that it doesn't have lyrics will pull it down. too bad.
unfortunately cd is gonna win it all, and it's not the best record this decade by a clear mile. but nothing is surprising in the gnrevo polls anymore

I downloaded it when this elimination kicked off. No way in hell was I gonna vote for something without hearing it. Would have been unfair regardless of which band it was.
Listened to it off and on for a couple weeks, and while it is a pretty damn good album, I wouldn't rank it ahead of anything that is on the list, although obviously I am more familiar with the remaining albums. I can see why those who have listened to it for years would prefer it over other albums.
I do plan on listening to more of their albums at some point.

Aint that the truth, but thats why I like the polls/eliminations here. They are much more interesting than the ones you see on other sites. Always unpredictable because everyones taste is so varied, and the fanboy card rarely gets played and people take it more seriously.
Had this elimination taken place on any other GNR site, CD would have been the guaranteed winner and probably would have had very few votes in any round, and Slash haters would have piled on in the first round and knocked out Contraband, and then laughed about it in every round that followed.
Nothing wrong with GNR winning polls and they have done so here in the past, but here people use their brain and approach it with a bit of class.
