Re: Billboard Top 200 Charts
Shinedown had such a huge crowd at Summerfest a couple weeks ago that we could walk up to 2nd row center stage for Gilby's show right before it started. They played a free show on a small stage where the crowd sounded as loud as a show at Alpine Valley in WI.
Re: Billboard Top 200 Charts
Death Magnetic is STILL on the charts.
Boy Axl, you suck.
Every album released in the same time frame as Chinese Democracy is still on the Billboard Top 200, and all will continue to be in varying degrees for at least a few months.
I am still in complete shock over Lily Allen's descent on the charts.
No Line on the Horizon could possibly take several more months to finally go platinum, which is insane.

No more Black Ice though, unless I missed it. Sales are extremely low overall. There are some big sellers that just won't go away but a lot of those albums are high up with unimpressive numbers or have been on the chart for awhile and still have unimpressive numbers.
I wonder what CD is selling these days? A couple hundred copies a week? Or is that too generous?
Re: Billboard Top 200 Charts
Black Ice was on the charts a month and a half before CD tho AND was an exclusive in the states, and stayed on ALOT longer.
Oh I'm not comparing it to CD, I'm aware it sold MUCH better. But for awhile it was right up there with Death Magnetic. It doesn't surprise me that Metallica has a little more staying power. I downloaded and listened to Black Ice ONCE and was far from impressed. I never understood how it was selling so well for so long.
And not to get into anything but a Wal-Mart exclusive doesn't compare to a Best Buy exclusive.
Re: Billboard Top 200 Charts
Michael Jackson's Dangerous sold 67k last week, the 6th highest selling MJ album of the week, higher sales than the 6th place holder on the billboard 200. MJ would've held the top 2 spots BY FAR with #1's (349k) and Thriller (264k). Other album sales for Michael for the week The Essential Michael Jackson (148k), Off The Wall (107k), Bad (97k).

There's a reason "Rock N' Roll Train" was the first single, and was beat into the ground.
It's the ONLY good track on the album, and I say this as an AC/DC fan. At least it has that. AC/DC hasn't had a good single since Big Gun.
