Yeah I've watched it. You're right it's pretty basic but it's still funny.

A very funny show. Maybe not greatness, but certaintly something entertaining to watch on Monday nights.

Kaley Cuoco is a major piece of ass.

In case you didn't know Russ, she actually used to be the 'hot daughter' on the infamous ABC sitcom "8 Simple Rules For Dating My Teenage Daughter", which ran for a few seasons. I say 'infamous', because the show became embroiled in the death of John Ritter, the show's then star. She, as with the rest of the cast, were thrown all over TV doing interviews reflecting on their time around Ritter. ABC attempted to recast the show with David Spade & James Garner to fill the void of 'funny' & 'mentor', but show didn't manage but to go another couple years. It was always kind of a weird situation, because before Ritter's death, it was one of ABC big upcoming, well-rated, programs, and as soon as he died, viewers bailed.

FYI

As for Big Bang Theory, the entire cast has great chemistry, which I think is what gives it, it's charm. It's not incredible smart or extremely well written, but like with all casts with great natural chemistry, it ups the material.

I've actually been rather shocked with the casting of Johnny Galecki from day one. Seems a bit too old for his role, but he plays it well.

The show's 2nd Season wasn't bad, but seemed to resort to gimmicky episodes.

By far, Sheldon & Howard are the funniest characters on the show.

I like it but I think Sheldon props up the show, without him it's nothing special.

Well you'll be happy to know, that Sheldon continues to drive the 'comedy' in Season 2 also.

This is one of those shows that I watch and enjoy, then when I think about it afterwards I feel a little ashamed of myself.

I guess because I consider myself a fairly "smart" comedy fan, and the writing is pretty cliched and hacky.  It's tough to do a sitcom that isn't like that sometimes though, and sometimes that works.

Plus, that chick is smokin'.

jorge: Yeah I kinda felt the same way the first time I watched it. I watched about 4 episodes and thought it was pretty good. The next day I was thinking about it and thought "Man, I guess the writing isn't really all that good" but after a bit I realized that I'll take it every day and twice on Sundays before ever watching reality TV or something of the like.

edit: YES. That broad is fn HOT

That's pretty much 100% what I was meant.

The writing isn't great, but it's much better than the writers for "reality" tv.
