So, I assume you think so. What makes you say that?
A friend of mine recently said he thinks it would be Rod Stewart, and the more I think about that I don't know how much of an arguement I have.
He's got a hell of a voice and I don't really think there is any debating that point. It's pretty much an accepted fact. The Beatles said that Roy Orbison was the one guy they would never want to follow on stage because he would leave the audience completely in awe. In fact at one point in their careers Orbison toured with the Beatles over in Europe and the crowd loved Orbison so much that they kept asking for encores and the Beatles had to physically restrain him from going out for yet another encore so that they could actually go play their set. LOL. It's completely subjective of course but I think it's the best voice I've ever heard in rock music. Axlin08 brought up Freddie Mercury. He's definitely a close second in my book.
James, have you ever listened to his earlier stuff (not "Pretty Woman" but the ballads like "It's Over," "In Dreams," "Running Scared," "Crying," etc.)? His stuff from the 80's is great but it's not his best work.
