Re: Michael Jackson's This Is It Discussion
It's worse, it's Diane Dimond!
This documentary is pretty funny. Mj might as well be called Dr. Evil.:haha:
...
When I say child molestors make their own porn its by taking pictures and videos of their victims, even if its for their own use. That is child porn. How is that not believable? I mean, they're not exctaly publishing it for bookstores, but they do do it. I can say pretty certainly that a very, very, very, very, very... very, very very high percentage do this. Whatever psychological aspect you want to draw from that, be my guest.
Oh, and I learned that from the some of the police officers I interviewed about it.
And I will say it again, no law, no matter how severe, is going to deter a sick individual from going after what they want. Again, if that was true and they could control themselves, no one would EVER be arrested for child porn, because they wouldn't do it.
It's not about risk. These aren't bank robbers or normal criminals.
As far as availability goes, if you are a child molester with constant access to children, your need for visual stimulation in the form of pornography decreases. Its the same with normal people as well. If you're either hanging around with women or simply have a normal dating life, you're not sitting around searching google for porn.
I'm sorry, but that is absolutely not true. Just for an example, there was a preacher who also ran a bible studies class and was in constant contact with children everyday. He molested many of them. He also had a huge child porn collection. He didn't need it, but he had it. And you're using a totally wrong equasion/analogy. Pedophiles are NOT NORMAL PEOPLE. They are mentally ill. Comparing a normal persons life/sexlife/actions to that of a pedophile does not jive.
And child porn is far from being on the fringe. It's frighteningly easy to get on the net. And I think you missed where I wrote "It comes down to accessibility to it."
So you're using the example of one of MJ's supposed victims and rubber stamping their reaction to all other cases?
Obviously most normal parents would not take hush money or any sort of bribery from a predator. These people aren't normal obviously, and I'm sure once the number got into the millions, cash registers in their minds started going cha ching.
There's a reason predators seek out victims from broken homes or dysfunctional families, and its not because they are looking for parents with excellent parenting skills.
How am I rubber stamping them? What are the odds, if there were all these victims, that not one of those parents valued their child higher than money? That's ridiculous. I don't care how much money is offered, that wouldn't cross every single one of their minds.
"Gee, this man just molested my son. I'm going to see how much money I'm going to get out of SOB!"
Not one of them called the cops first? All of them, every single one, were horrible parents that would pimp their kids out?
Who's saying she's mother teresa? You skipped that whole quote and took the very last sentence, ignoring that the father put his own son under sedation, with a sedative known for coercing people, after pulling his tooth to get the story he wanted and that the boys description of Mj's genitals didn't match... Okay... Anyway, maybe she did pimp her kid out for a credit card... And maybe he just didn't do it, either.

When I say child molestors make their own porn its by taking pictures and videos of their victims, even if its for their own use. That is child porn. How is that not believable?
Of course that would be child porn, but its not believable because there are zero statistics showing that a majority do it. I would say around 1% of men(or women) arrested for child abuse are also arrested for possession of child pornography.
edit: It hovers around 30-40%, depending on the specific year, and will actually drop lower.
Actually, "dual offenders" account for 15%.
That's not a majority.

I can say pretty certainly that a very, very, very, very, very... very, very very high percentage do this. Whatever psychological aspect you want to draw from that, be my guest.
If its that certain, show me one link(hell, I'll take a wiki link at this point) showing that to be the case. A majority of sexual predators that don't want to go to prison are not going to film their crimes.
The FBI has a total of 9,469 arrests for child pornography since 1996.
http://www.fbi.gov/publications/innocent.htm
And I will say it again, no law, no matter how severe, is going to deter a sick individual from going after what they want. Again, if that was true and they could control themselves, no one would be arressted for child porn, because they just wouldn't do it.
Stiff penalties are most certainly a deterrent. Most child abusers never go to jail(or if they do its a short sentence) even if suspected, yet someone caught with child pornography has a 90% chance of going to prison.
That's called a deterrent, and plays a huge role in that shit not being everywhere. If a majority of child abusers had that stuff, the FBI would raid the houses of every single offender on their own Sex Offender Registry list just to up the statistics on convictions for this crime.
Place mandatory jail sentences on DUI offenders, and almost every bar in this country goes out of business. Doesn't mean people are gonna stop drinking, it just means they aint driving home from bars drunk.
No one is saying this evil doesn't exist, or that some abusers don't have it. Obviously they do, like the priest in your example. If most abusers had access to this stuff, it would be borderline mainstream.
And you're using a totally wrong equasion. Pedophiles are NOT NORMAL PEOPLE. They are mentally ill. Comparing a normal persons life/sexlife/actions to that of a pedophile does not jive.
I never said they were "normal people", but you can certainly use various character traits from "normal" people when reaching various conclusions, unless you think the FBI's criminal profiling unit should be shut down.
And child porn is far from being on the fringe. It's frighteningly easy to get on the net. And I think you missed where I wrote "It comes down to accessibility to it."
No I didn't miss that, but you're claiming a majority, and that's a huge reach.
According to the FBI, 200 images of child pornography are uploaded daily. Now that is disgusting, but its safe to say those images are not "frighteningly easy to get" simply because that is not a high number considering the amount of global sex offenders, child abusers, slave rings, etc. that are in existence.
We don't know how many victims there were. We can only go by the two known supposed victims, and there was financial factors involved in both. Whether true or false, that is establishing a pattern.
Who's saying she's mother teresa? You skipped that whole quote and took the very last sentence, ignoring that the father put his own son under sedation after pulling his tooth to get the story he wanted and that the boys description of Mj's genitals didn't match... Okay... Anyway, maybe she did pimp her kid out for a credit card... And maybe he just didn't do it, either.
You tried painting the father as a con man and used comments from the mother to help prove that point. She clearly had financial motivation as well(and benefited from it WHILE the supposed abuse was occurring), so if you're gonna assassinate the character of one, you need to aim your sights on both.
Re: Michael Jackson's This Is It Discussion
There's plenty of parents in the world that would've tossed their kids in Michael Jackson's bed like lambs to the slaughter, if they thought they saw a payday out of it.
With that said, like James, i've been rewatching a TON of MJ interviews, blast from the past-style (as i've seen all of them), and i'd like to give me re-analyzed two cents.
I watched the '93 Oprah doc. Michael still seemed at the tail end of his prime. I believe this interview was done just before the first child molestation case, I could be wrong. Michael seemed shy, but more like his Dangerous-era self. Everything seemed perfectly normal. Michael dodged the obvious plastic surgery questions, which are all obvious, that he's had no work done, except his nose. But then later adds, that "everyone does it in LA", which pretty much confirms that he's lying to Oprah. That he's infact had several plastic surgeries, more than just his nose.
Later Liz Taylor is brought in to vouch for Michael's good person and kindness, which sets the bizarro factor off the charts. Liz Taylor makes Michael Jackson look normal. The woman is a total schizo imo. Her vouching for Michael only proves Michael keeps weird company as friends. The rest of the interview is standard, and closes with the world premiere of the Give In To Me video with Slash, Gilby & Teddy Zig Zag.
Then...
I watched the infamous Martin Bashir interview from 10 years later (2003).
What I saw was a TOTALLY different Jackson. I'm not talking age, or the way they cut the interview to make Jackson look bad. I'm talking about as a person. I saw a much more doped up MJ. He was SOOOOO high during the majority of that interview. What is even more alarming is how it took place at various stages, and only in a few did he not look strung out on painkillers. The worst segments were the earlier ones at the studio and later in Vegas. Jackson also showed how he buried himself in the enormous $400 million dollar debt he died with. His extravegence is unmatched. His entire life was total decadence. His spending was enormous as he just casually walked into a Vegas store, and bought an $89,000 chess table, among numerous other items, including paintings and statues. All for one of his "other" houses. Not Neverland.
Several times during the Bashir interview, especially during the drugged out segments, Bashir tripped up Jackson's story. Whether this was a result of Jackson's condition with drug abuse or his story not holding together, Jackson fumbled up. Earlier in the interview, Jackson refers to Debbie (as the mom of Prince I & Paris) and how happy they were, and his very very private relationship with the mother of Prince II "Blanket". Later in the interview, he confesses that Prince I & Paris had a surrogate mother, as did Blanket, and that he did not know Blanket's mother... yet earlier they had a "very private relationship". Bashir then pushed the issue on Jackson's kids not having a mother, so much to the point that Bashir proposed to Jackson that he had asked Prince I where his mommy was, to which Prince I replied, "I don't have one". Bashir asked about Prince I & Paris' mother, and Michael started stuttering heavily, trying to find what to say, before finally, frustratingly, settling on "she just decided that it's better for them to be with me".
Rarely does Michael Jackson break composure, but he did it with the Bashir interview. After the Blanket balcony-dangling incident, Michael was feeding Blanket, and seemed very manic, not like Michael Jackson. Not agitated or upset, but full on manic behavior. He was angrily shaking his leg while *badly* feeding Blanket, and doing all this "I love you, I love you" so incredibly faked and put on. Jackson actually snapped at Bashir and the media for being "ignorant", this time pissed. And as for Blanket... Michael didn't have a clue what he was doing obviously.
The Miami interview that closed out the interview made him look even worse. His fumbling of the "mother" question, as well as justifying kids sleeping in his room/bed, just came off terrible.
Next up for me is the "counter" interview to Bashir's hosted by Maury Povich, and that last interview, that James recommended.
In closing, so far, what I see from Jackson is not that of a child molester but an extremely disturbed man trying to live out his childhood, as a full-grown adult. The Gavin interview with Bashir was extremely important and intriguing. Michael also talked about Macaulay & Kieran Culkin. Michael spoke of them, and interacting with Michael like he was a "toy". And I think that's the problem. Michael was obviously a disturbed man, most likely brought on by Joe Jackson's slave-like managing of Michael when he was younger. Michael seems to treat in fact - everything - like a toy, including the terminal children at his ranch, as well as his own kids, and I think that's the problem. Jackson might be purely innocent in all of this child molestation stuff, but the problem that lies within, is that Jackson looks at virtually everything in his world as toys and possessions, including children. This would tie in with the stories of Emmanuel Lewis, Corey Feldman & Macaulay Culkin that basically once they grew up to a certain age, Jackson basically dumped them in favor of younger kids, imo - new toys. But not sexualizing it. I think Jackson saw these "toys" as his own personal action figures, and dolls, that he played with. No different than I used to take Batman figures with me as a kid to play with, and of course, naturally, later outgrew them. Only Jackson seemed to not outgrow them.
Jackson speaks of his "relationships" like a 13-year old boy would, further showing his immense immaturity. So Tatum O'Neal & Brooke Shields were his only action all these years, and he turned them down? He also NEVER mentions Lisa Marie in the Bashir interview, which would've been a good time to talk about his supposed sex life she claimed, which would normalized him to alot of people.
So far this is the inapproriate life I see out of Jackson. An overgrown 13-year old with a billion dollars, star power, which treats animals & children, like his teddy bear's and GI Joe's.
More to come...
Re: Michael Jackson's This Is It Discussion
Jackson basically dumped them in favor of younger kids, imo - new toys.
You just hit the nail on the head and this is what's most troubling about it and why he will likely never get out from under the cloud of suspicion..... he preferred specific age groups. If his life was an episode of Sesame Street and as he put it, "I love ALL children", then he wouldn't have pigeonholed himself into liking boys ages 10-13.
Yeah, definitely check out that documentary posted. I know the youtube nutswingers hate it, but it does give some info that without it you would have probably needed to read a book to find.

AP Exclusive: Jackson wrapped video before death
LOS ANGELES – Two weeks before he died, Michael Jackson wrapped up work on an elaborate production dubbed the "Dome Project" that could be the final finished video piece overseen by the King of Pop, The Associated Press has learned.
Jackson was apparently preparing to dazzle concert audiences in London with a high-tech show in which 3D images — some inspired by his "Thriller" era — would flash behind him as he performed on stage.
"It was a groundbreaking effort," said Vince Pace, whose company provided cameras for the shoot, a 3D system he created with filmmaker James Cameron.
"To think that Michael's gone now, that's probably the last documented footage of him to be shot in that manner," Pace said.
Two people with knowledge of the secretive project confirmed its existence Monday to the AP on condition they not be identified because they signed confidentiality agreements.
They said it was a five-week project filmed at Culver Studios, which 70 years ago was the set for the classic film "Gone With the Wind." Four sets were constructed for Jackson's production, including a cemetery recalling his 1983 "Thriller" video.
With 3D technology "the audience would have felt like they were visiting the 'Thriller' experience, like they were there," Pace said.
Shooting for the project lasted from June 1-9, with Jackson on the set most days. The project was in post-production, at the time of Jackson's death, and had been expected to be completed next month. It was not immediately clear what would be made of the video footage now.
Producer Robb Wagner, founder of music-video company Stimulated Inc., did not immediately return a message seeking comment on the project.
Michael Roth, a spokesman for Jackson's Los Angeles-based promoter AEG Live, said he hadn't heard about the production but did not rule that it could be part of the company's contract with the entertainer.
According to one of the people with knowledge of the project, a willow-thin, pallid Jackson left a memorable impression on the crew, arriving in a caravan of SUVs with hulking security guards in tow. The person said Jackson introduced himself to workers on the set and walked with a spring in his step but at one point needed assistance as he descended steps off a stage.
Besides the cemetery, one set was draped in black with an oversized portrait of Jackson in his "Thriller" werewolf costume. Another set was designed to simulate a lush jungle, and a fourth was built to replicate a construction site, with a screen in the back to allow projection of different backgrounds.
Taping took place in marathon sessions ending early in the morning. One scene filmed on the construction site set included scantily clad male dancers wearing carpenter's belts.
According to Stimulated's Web site, the company was hired to produce screen content for Jackson's planned comeback concerts in London. Stimulated has worked with Def Leppard and the Pussycat Dolls, and produced content for the Academy Awards and the Emmys.
Last year, U2 released the concert film "U2 3D," a film of the band's 2005-06 Vertigo tour, shot at several shows in South America with 3-D technology.
At the time, guitarist The Edge told The Associated Press the 3-D technology allowed "the songs to shine through."

Also, a Jackson will written in 2002 has been found, according to family lawyer Londell McMillan.
Planning is under way for a 30-car motorcade carrying Jackson's remains to leave the Los Angeles area at 10 a.m. for Santa Barbara County, California, on Thursday, a source said.
Another state law enforcement source said the California Highway Patrol had not been formally requested to escort the motorcade.

The singer's hometown of Gary, Indiana, is asking the family to send him there, according to the mayor's spokeswoman.
Gary Mayor Rudy Clay has been in contact with the Jackson family, hoping to make that happen, spokeswoman Lalosa Burns said Tuesday.

"I believe that his body will lie in state in Gary, Indiana," Clay said Tuesday. "Now, it may not happen, but I believe it will."
The Jackson memorial service is set for July 10 at U.S. Steel Works ballpark in Gary, Burns said.
It would be "a memorial that's fit for the prince of peace and a memorial that's fit for Gary, Indiana's favorite son, the greatest entertainer that ever lived," Clay said.
A burial site for the singer could be near a proposed Jackson family museum and a performing arts center, Burns said.
"The mayor had spoken with a contact of the Jackson family and expressed our interest in having that to be a part of the history of this great family," Burns said. "We have not received confirmation on that."
Jackson's father, Joe, visited the city last year and talked with Clay about a Jackson museum, Burns said.
Michael Jackson purchased the Neverland Ranch, north of Santa Barbara, in 1987 and filled it with animals and amusement rides. He ran into financial problems with the property but retained a stake in it at the time of his death June 25.

The newly discovered will may be one of several, lawyer McMillan said.
"We need a certain amount of time to look at that," he said of whether other wills exist. "I don't personally know, but it's possible."
Until now, the Jackson family has said it has not seen a will for the singer.
Without a legal will, the division of his estate would be decided in court.
The 2002 will surfaced Monday after a Los Angeles judge gave the singer's mother, Katherine Jackson, temporary control of her son's "tangible personal property."
The pop icon's three children -- ages 7, 11 and 12 -- were also placed under the temporary guardianship of Katherine Jackson.
McMillan said he has seen the will but would not disclose its details.
"There is a process called 'probating the will' that will validate any will in due course," he said.

The biological mother of Jackson's two oldest children, Debbie Rowe, will be invited to a hearing Monday in which the judge will consider who should have custody of them. She has not publicly indicated whether she will challenge the Jacksons for custody.

That article above pretty much confirms what was posted in the Daily Mail.
How can a man, that needs assistance walking up and down steps, and an entourage to hold him up practically, realistically be fit and ready to kick off a 50-date stint at O2 in three weeks?
I don't think it's suicide, but his handlers pushing this so hard could've been the final nail in his coffin, in his emanciated state.

^^ Layne sat on a barstool and sang. It was a great performance, but it takes alot more energy to pull off a full 1 hour dance routine. Not bashing Layne, it was a great performance, but it's easier to be weak and do what he did, than be weak and frail and then dance for an hour & a half.
