You prefer Z or plain old Dragonball?
I like both but found that by the end of Z it was getting very repetitive i.e. super strong villain, can't be beat takes fifty episodes to do so with lots of powering up. I preferred Dragonball had a faster pace and story was more interesting. Also I know they're both based on the Dragonball manga with Z being the second half but Z is the weaker of the two.
There is also "GT", which is based after "Z" and "Kai", which I never got around to watching, plus several mini-movies.
I prefer "Z" basically, because that's the one I watched first.
...And like you say the "sub" is alot better than the children's "American dub".
Kai is probably gonna turn out to be the best of them all as it fixes all the pacing issues of Z. I don't count GT it's not based on the manga and is abysmal. The only problem with the sub is Goku sounds like his voice hasn't broken.

Re: GnREvolution Television Madness Nomination Thread
I'm surprised we dont have more 80's cartoons in there
Ninja TUrtles, GI Joe, Transformers, Thundercats, Silverhawks, Smurfs, Bugs Bunny, Woody Woodpecker, Gummy Bears, Gargoyles, the list goes on really
We could leave out the cartoons and have a CARTOON MADNESS tourney after.
