Re: Most Recent Movie You've Seen
Transformers 2....Awesome action flick a little weak story wise but what else would you expect. A must see.
Re: Most Recent Movie You've Seen
The Talking of Pelham 123
and
Public Enemies
Pelham 123 - a Tony Scott action flick, nothing more. It's not a bad film at all, but it's not great. It's a just kind of there, bordering on good film, like all of his films. Denzel Washington plays the same character he always plays. Entertaining popcorn fun, but nothing special, and brings nothing really new to the table. The whole 'money transfer' race across NYC, was fucking stupid. Even James Gandolfini's 'mayor' character says it, "why didn't we just use a helicopter?"
Public Enemies - a very entertaining film, but like the critics are all saying, it lacks a dramatic story. The film is beautifully shot, like all Mann films, and is very visually stimulating, and the film is well acted by both Johnny Depp, and I think an underrated performance by Christian Bale. The supporting cast is terrific also. But short of being a "shoot 'em up" gangster flick, it never really gets that that dramatic story, like a Heat or Insider or Collateral. Which is a shame, considering it's the story of the infamous John Dillinger. I also hoped it would be a film that would finally prove to the world the kind of actor Depp can be, that career-defining role, but without the story, he has nothing but to look cool while holding a gun. I think it's on the level of Miami Vice 2006... maybe a little better. But anyone walking in expecting the Heat of gangster flicks... you'll be disappointed.

Re: Most Recent Movie You've Seen
Had a double feature last night of Ted Bundy and Walled In. Bundy is definitely one of the best serial killer flicks. Had actually watched it years ago, but stumbled upon it while looking for something else so I downloaded it.
Walled In started out interesting but just went downhill as each various subplot/twist was thrown in. Amazes me that Mischa Barton continually wastes her talent on subpar films.
