Re: GnREvolution Movie Madness - Round 3, Battle 3
Are you people on dope?!
Ok, I stole that from Fast Times... but c'mon, this shouldn't even be close. Tylerdurden, you should see it, it's phenomenal. Watch the redux, it's about 4 hours long. Platoon basically ripped it off entirely, they're very similar.
Ferris is one of the great comedies,
Ferris isn't even the best 80's high school movie, it'd be 3rd after Fast Times & Breakfast Club.

Have you seen "Apocalypse Now" yet?
...And by the way, if "Apocalypse Now" gets voted off James, I think it's bad karma for you choosing "Ferris Bueller's" over the "Shawshank Redemption" .
Shawshank would have killed it. A big percentage of our members are in their early 20s, and growing up on that flick would have caused them to lean towards Shawshank.

Its my favorite movie and I hate Redux. Way too many unnecessary scenes, and they should use those French plantation scenes as interrogation techniques on terrorists.
Bullcrap. Lucas is the best 80's high school movie.
Strongly disagree, but in junior high I would have sold my soul to the devil to fuck Winona Ryder. That other chick in it was hot too.
If this is what it takes to beat Apocalypse Now, Wonka had a shot!
I'm still predicting a Wonka victory.
Re: GnREvolution Movie Madness - Round 3, Battle 3
In "GnREvolution Movie Madness" fire represents death, when the Movie's credits roll, the movie goes up in flames, when the names are read, the decision is final and they must leave the tribal council area immediately. I'll go tally the votes.
Apocalypse Now, bring me your torch.
The Tribe has spoken
"Smell that? You smell that?"
"What?"
"Napalm, son. Nothing else in the world smells like that ... I love the smell of napalm in the morning. You know, one time we had a hill bombed, for 12 hours. When it was all over, I walked up. We didn't find one of 'em, not one stinkin' dink body. The smell, you know that gasoline smell, the whole hill. Smelled like ... victory. Someday this war's gonna end..."
5 survivors are left. Grab your torches and keep voting.
