I thought he gave up his Robinite thing when the guy left the band, otherwise he would have been in trouble @ the official unofficial Axlite fan site. I might be wrong, cause I don't read that site anymore, so I read it somewhere here, for sure. Or I just dreamed the whole story, which would be quite awkward. hmm

look, how many solos does DJ have on the album? answer: 0. he has no right to be in gnr, play with them live, write their songs, or perform robin's epic solos live. won't be right if a tour happens. will be a crime.

So to take your own logic back a step. Did robin have the right to play the solos Slash wrote and recorded on AFD, GNR Lies, and UYI? or has he also been a criminal these past 10 years?

wasn't about rights. slash was already established. slash had his fortune and fame in the public eye. he had commercial success. what about robin? when'll robin get the same chance slash had before him from 87-93 in guns n' roses for commercial public success with the new album? robin deserves the same chance slash had many times over with 4 albums: "appetite. lies. illusions. incident." robin deserves the same public chances and media chances / opportunities with chinese democracy. robin did all the work. robin was in that studio day after day tolerating perfectionist axl..pouring his guts out to make the perfect solos. to make the perfect record. the perfect record axl wouldn't release until it was perfect. robin climbed many mountains. suffered many nightmares. but robin didn't quit. he could have told axl to "stick it" but he didn't. robin stayed the course. through the years. being unnoticed by the public and media. officially. in the shadows. behind the scenes. when you finally think he's going to get his big break, his big chance just like slash did before him over and over..axl pulls the rug out from under him and fires robin. forcing him back to nin. so robin had and still has every right to play old songs and every new song he poured his heart on. robin deserves this. slash had his chance to shine so many times. so many concerts. in the usa. and around the world. epic music videos. magazine covers. what about robin? robin deserves his chance in the sun. DJ deserves nothing

I don't follow it either. I thought his site went down for updates, and he decided to just not put it back up because Robin was out of GN'R.

There are at least 3 of us. I know I don't make wild claims like robin67 does, but I certainly love and miss Robin. In my eyes, DJ is going to really have to be something special for me to care about him.

Ever since about 3 songs into the November 02 show I was at, I've thought Robin was the man. Then in 06 he elevated himself to a whole new status of cool.

If that doesn't cement me as a "Robinite", maybe the fact that I have a Robin Finck/Guns N' Roses t-shirt that I've almost wore out because I wear it too much should.

A Robinite would be everything that an Axlite or Slashite is. Someone who thinks GN'R is make or break on their presence. robin67 presents an argument that new Guns is not new Guns without Robin, which is actually a very valid argument, considering he's been with the project since inception, no matter how much I think Robin blows.

Same argument applies to other members. GN'R isn't GN'R without Axl = Axlite. GN'R isn't GN'R without Slash = Slashite. Or my main man madagas, our resident Tommyite, if GN'R doesn't have Tommy - finck it. 16

What Robin deserves is exactly what he got.  He deserves to be somewhere he'll be appreciated instead of ridiculed.  He deserves to be somewhere that his tone and playing style would be appreciated.

Nobody deserves anything from CD.  Everybody got paid and that's all it was about.  Robin got what he deserved from GnR - his paycheck...that is everything he deserved from his years in GnR.

Exactly. Nobody joined up with GN'R to "see how much good music we can make together guys".

They did it for the paycheck, and the name stature to propel themselves in the business. That's a double edged sword. You wanted to work with Axl, and you got it. Now deal with it. The only people sitting back and laughing are Slash, Duff, & Izzy.

If it was going to be a "cool, fun, artistic, and profitable" ride with a normal album rollout... those guys would've NEVER left. They all knew it was the road to nowhere with Axl at the helm, so they got out of Dodge. The new band members took a chance for the gig with Axl Rose, and this is the end result. Wow, what a shock.
