I've always wanted to make a list of bands I've seen over the years and I thought it might be fun to see who others have seen.  I'm going to start my list, but it will be a work in progress.  The memory isn't what it used to be...

GnR (UYI tour)
Aerosmith (at least 3 times)
Izzy Stradlin
KISS
Slaughter
Winger
Matchbox Twenty
Maroon 5
Chicago
Sugar Ray (twice)
Smashing Pumpkins
Black Crowes
Fuel
Shinedown
Van Halen
Pearl Jam
B-52s
R.E.M.
Peter, Paul, and Mary
White Zombie
Kingston Trio
The Monkees

the list keeps growing as I remember bands.  I'm not including bar bands or tribute bands I've seen.  I've probably seen 10 different Beatles tribute bands, a really bad Crue tribute band, and a KISS tribute band that wasn't half bad.

I'm young, real young, so there's been limited opportunity to see touring groups.

GnR (06)
Sebastian Bach
Nine Inch Nails
Barenaked Ladies
Guster
Poison
Cinderella
Blind Melon
Buckethead
ASHES dIVIDE
Paramore
No Doubt

I've seen many jazz heroes though: Maynard Ferguson, Eric Alexander, Phil Woods, Wynton Marsalis (would be the best know people), and even played with a few guys like David Fathead Newman, Freddy Cole or Carl Allen.

Re: Bands you have seen live

I saw them as an opening act, so the sound wasn't adjusted quite right. They played well and were one of the better opening bands I've seen but I wished their settings were different. Drums were too loud and vocals were drowned out. I would see them again though if they came around and were headlining a club or theatre.

That includes some from festivals and there's probably others I've forgotten but none of great note.

That's a long list Buzzsaw. I still regret not going to a lot of shows back in the heyday. Was in a major drug haze in the early/mid 90s, and concerts weren't a huge priority. Also, my move to Missouri for several years made it even worse because there were not many shows in that area.

I was a dumb ass for not seeing NIN last year when I had tickets, and recently skipped the Santigold Warfield show, which I will always regret even if I see her on the next leg of the tour.

Alice in Chains
Anthrax
Slayer
Megadeth
GNR (1991)
Doobie Brothers
Homegrown(CA band)
John Fogerty(at the fair and didn't watch the whole set)
bunch of bands at Treasure Island but don't know who they were, and don't care
M.I.A.(3 times, Treasure Island and two clubs)

Artists I would like to see in the near future:

Rye Rye
Lily Allen
U2

Oh, and Expose and other flash in the pan 80s artists(which I don't remember) were at Great America(amusement park) when I went there in summer of 89. Didn't pay much attention though because we were mainly riding the roller coasters and just fucking around. Would walk through those gates every so often and check the show out.
